Nike’s annual Air Jordan 9 Retro “Doernbecher” is set to hit retail. Highlighting the six-shoe group is Oswaldo Jimenez’s Air Jordan Retro 9, inspired by his proud Mexican heritage. Oswaldo’s nickname “Pollito” is featured on the tongue and insole. His birthday, September 13, is highlighted on the backside of the tongue, while his favorite number ’17’ is embroidered on the heel. Red and green detailing visible through the translucent rubber outsole pay homage to his hometown of Queretaro, Mexico.
